Role Overview

This individual will be responsible for handling day-to-day IT activities as part of the SAP S4 Global template implementation to support the cGMP Clinical and Commercial Cell Therapy Manufacturing facilities in Ghent, Belgium. The individual will provide SAP support related activities across different SAP modules, primarily within SAP EWM modules as well as integrations with external MES and eLIMS systems.

Liaise with  SAP Development team and 3rd parties on issue resolution as required.

Major Responsibilities

·       Works as the first point of contact with the user community, service delivery of SAP S4 application support, and operations. 1st, 2nd and (potentially) 3rd Level Support.

·       Assesses/analyses S4 issues and determines support/problem resolution where applicable.

·       Monitors and provides follow up instruction on outstanding issues in a timely fashion.

·       Ensure major incident communication to management and internal customers.

·       Appropriately escalate issues to S4 Development team (offshore, US based) and/or local management

·       System Monitoring and Improvement (end-user access review procedures, etc.)

·       Process Monitoring for IT internal process

Education

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline such as IT or Engineering

Experience

·       A minimum of 5 year’s relevant working experience in biotech and/or pharmaceutical industries Capabilities, Knowledge, and skills.

·       Knowledge of SAP integration technology (IDoc).

·       Knowledge of Computerized System Validation procedures.

·       Knowledge and experience in manufacturing IT system integrations, such as MES with ERP.

·       Work in a matrixed team for support execution and delivery.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time, be a collaborative team member.
